What is CVE-2026-85587?

The phpMyFAQ application prior to version 4.1.8 suffers from an issue where incorrect permission checks on admin content pages permit users with limited privileges, such as editors, to access draft and inactive entries. This flaw gives unauthorized users the ability to view unpublished content that should remain confidential, including sensitive news edits and translations of FAQs. Attackers capable of adding content can exploit this vulnerability to reveal information that is typically hidden from public view, posing a risk to data integrity and user confidentiality.
