What is CVE-2026-85744?

FreeScout, a self-hosted help desk solution, prior to version 1.8.227 contains an authorization issue within the conversation_merge action. This flaw allows an authenticated agent to merge conversations they own into a target conversation that they do not possess access to. During this process, threads, attachments, and audit records from the source conversation are injected into the target conversation while deleting the source. However, the contents of the target conversation remain undisclosed to the agent, potentially risking sensitive information exposure. This issue was resolved in version 1.8.227.
