What is CVE-2026-86018?

Part-DB, an open-source inventory management system, has a vulnerability that allows authenticated users to circumvent the maximum attachment file size limit during server-side file downloads. This occurs in versions prior to 2.13.2, where the system allows the download of remote files without enforcing the defined size restrictions. As a result, an authenticated user can upload files larger than permitted, potentially consuming excessive disk space and leading to a denial of service condition. The issue has been resolved in version 2.13.2, which enforces the attachment size limit appropriately.

Affected Version(s)

Part-DB-server < 2.13.2
