What is CVE-2026-86082?

The n8n Workflow Automation Platform has a vulnerability that allows an attacker to exploit improperly enforced credential domain restrictions. This issue specifically affects the OpenAI Chat Model node prior to versions 1.123.76, 2.37.7, and 2.38.2. Attackers can manipulate the workflow editor to set arbitrary host URLs, which can lead to unauthorized access and leakage of sensitive OpenAI API credentials. This vulnerability is now resolved in the indicated versions.
