The VeloCloud Edge and Gateway contain an out-of-bounds write vulnerability that occurs during the processing of tunneled IP fragments among authenticated overlay neighbors. This issue specifically affects the VeloCloud VCMP tunnel protocol, potentially allowing an attacker to disrupt the affected process. When exploited, it could lead to the termination and subsequent restart of the process, resulting in a temporary traffic disruption. Notably, unauthenticated hosts that cannot establish an overlay peer relationship do not trigger the vulnerable logic, limiting the scope of potential impact.
