What is CVE-2026-86174?

The Plane deployment tool, in version 1.4.2, contains a vulnerability that allows authenticated attackers to post comments to any issue within their workspace. This occurs through the public comment endpoint, which fails to properly validate that the issues are associated with the correct project on the deploy board. By exploiting this flaw, attackers can manipulate discussions or information on different issues by simply altering the issue_id parameter, leading to potential misuse and confusion within collaborative environments.
