What is CVE-2026-86257?

Wger before version 2.6 is susceptible to a spreadsheet formula injection vulnerability that arises from the improper sanitization of the first_name and last_name fields in the gym member TSV export endpoint. This flaw permits any gym member to inject potentially malicious spreadsheet formulas, such as =HYPERLINK, into the exported data. If an admin opens an exported file in Excel or LibreOffice Calc, these injected formulas can execute unintended commands or exfiltrate sensitive administrative data.
