What is CVE-2026-86335?

A missing authorization vulnerability in Canonical LXD allows project-restricted clients to exploit imageDownload functionality. This flaw enables unauthorized access to private images from other projects due to local fingerprint reuse during image or instance import requests. Users of LXD versions prior to 5.0.10, 5.21.8, and 6.10 should be aware of this issue and apply the necessary patches to secure their deployments.
