What is CVE-2026-87012?

The Open WebUI platform has a vulnerability affecting versions 0.9.0 to 0.11.0, where the calendar event meta.alert_minutes value is stored without proper type validation. An authenticated user with calendar permissions could exploit this flaw by saving a non-numeric value for alert_minutes. This action leads to exceptions that abort the instance-wide alert pass, rendering all user reminders ineffective while the event remains within the lookahead window. The issue has been rectified in version 0.11.1, emphasizing the importance of updating to maintain alert functionality.
