What is CVE-2026-87016?

The Open WebUI platform is subject to a SQL injection vulnerability affecting versions from 0.6.41 through 0.11.0. Flaws in the get_user_by_oauth_sub and get_user_by_scim_external_id functions allow attackers to use JSON with wildcard characters, such as percent and underscore, to manipulate SQL queries. This could lead to unauthorized access as an attacker might gain access to a different user's session, potentially compromising administrator accounts. Choose to update to version 0.11.1 where the issue has been addressed to mitigate this risk. PostgreSQL deployments remain unaffected.

Affected Version(s)

open-webui >= 0.6.41, < 0.11.1
