What is CVE-2026-88002?

A vulnerability exists in Open WebUI versions 0.5.0 to 0.11.1 where an authenticated user can exploit a weakness in the message-chain reconstruction helper. By storing id-less messages in a parent cycle, this creates a non-terminating loop that blocks the async event loop. The result is excessive memory growth leading to application termination, which persists even after process restarts. This issue has been resolved in version 0.11.1.
