What is CVE-2026-88376?

Bento4 version 1.6.0.0 is susceptible to an integer underflow vulnerability within the AP4_AvccAtom::Create() and AP4_HvccAtom::Create() methods. If an MP4 file is crafted with an avcC or hvcC atom that specifies a size less than the atom header size, it may trigger a payload-size calculation to overflow. This situation can lead to improper buffer allocation and copying processes, resulting in a termination of the application, which may subsequently cause a denial of service.
