What is CVE-2026-88858?

A flaw exists within Grafana that allows users with the Viewer role to crash the server by submitting a specially crafted server-side math expression, leading to uncontrolled recursion. Additionally, users authorized to provision alert rules can create scenarios where the outage persists even after server restarts, potentially disrupting service availability and affecting users relying on Grafana for monitoring and visualization.
