What is CVE-2026-88983?

The Kubeflow Pipelines API server has an improper input validation vulnerability that allows authenticated users to exploit the pipeline and pipeline-version creation paths. This flaw enables a caller to make requests to internal services using a user-defined pipelineURL, potentially exposing sensitive information through a status-code oracle. While the risks of arbitrary response-body disclosure and credential theft are not conclusively determined, the issue could affect the integrity and availability of services. It is advisable for users to upgrade to version 2.17.0 or later to mitigate this risk.
