What is CVE-2026-89244?

AVideo contains a reflected cross-site scripting vulnerability in the Category.php file of the Gallery plugin when SubCategorys is enabled. The vulnerability arises due to the improper handling of the getBackURL parameter, which is echoed into an href attribute without proper HTML encoding. This flaw allows attackers to inject malicious scripts that execute in the browsers of users who interact with the Back control, potentially compromising user security and privacy.
