What is CVE-2026-90769?

The Open Notebook software prior to version 1.11.0 is vulnerable to a server-side request forgery (SSRF) issue due to insufficient validation of the URL parameter in the POST /api/sources endpoint. This vulnerability allows authenticated users to send arbitrary URLs, potentially granting them access to sensitive internal service endpoints, cloud metadata, and localhost-bound resources via direct HTTP requests. Exploiting this flaw could lead to significant security ramifications as attackers can exploit it to retrieve sensitive data from within the internal network.
