What is CVE-2026-90778?
The SIPp product version 3.7.7 is vulnerable due to a buffer overflow in the get_peer_tag() function. This issue arises when processing SIP To headers containing tag parameters of 2049 bytes or more. Unauthenticated remote attackers can exploit this vulnerability by sending maliciously crafted SIP messages with oversized tag parameters, leading to a potential overflow of the static buffer, which can crash the process and disrupt service.
