What is CVE-2026-90959?

A path traversal vulnerability exists in Pulp's content upload API, where an authenticated user with low-privilege repository permissions can exploit the 'file_url' parameter. This parameter allows users to input a local file URL for Pulp to download, but insufficient URL scheme validation permits attackers to bypass restrictions. By utilizing relative path traversal sequences, attackers can access sensitive files, including the container registry token signing private key in Pulp Container deployments. This could lead to unauthorized access to private container repositories, highlighting significant security implications for affected systems.
