What is CVE-2026-90996?

A vulnerability exists in sssd where a local unprivileged user can exploit the Network Security Services (NSS) responder by sending a specially crafted request with a zero-length body. This action can lead to a denial-of-service condition, potentially causing the NSS responder to crash or become unstable.
