What is CVE-2026-91147?

A vulnerability has been identified in 'cockpit-ws', which enables remote, unauthenticated attackers to launch a Denial of Service (DoS) attack. This issue arises when the 'WebService.UrlRoot' is set up without a trailing slash and a request is made to the exact URL-root prefix. The improper handling of this request can cause 'cockpit-ws' to crash unexpectedly, rendering the Cockpit web service unavailable for legitimate users.
