What is CVE-2026-91197?

Flowable engine up to version 8.0.0 contains a vulnerability in the ProcessDiagramLayoutFactory.parseXml() method that allows attackers with deployment privileges to exploit XML external entity injection. This occurs because the engine fails to disable external entity resolution while parsing BPMN files. Malicious actors can incorporate DOCTYPE declarations to access local files or initiate requests to internal network resources, potentially compromising sensitive data and infrastructure.
