What is CVE-2026-91955?

FreeRDP, prior to version 3.31.0, exhibits a vulnerability where it inadequately verifies client-supplied DesktopWidth and DesktopHeight values during the GCC negotiation process. This oversight permits remote attackers to send specially crafted RDP packets that either contain zero or excessively large dimensions. Such packets can trigger division-by-zero errors or assertion failures in the multifragment update capability calculations, leading to unexpected termination of the server process. To mitigate this risk, users are urged to upgrade to the latest version of FreeRDP.
