What is CVE-2026-91984?

Vikunja versions earlier than 2.6.0 are susceptible to a Broken Object-Level Authorization vulnerability. This flaw allows authenticated attackers to manipulate task position requests by injecting project_view_ids that do not belong to the project associated with the task. Through this vulnerability, attackers can send POST or PUT requests to the task-position endpoints, thereby gaining unauthorized access to alter task positions across different tenant project views. For organizations using Vikunja, it's crucial to upgrade to version 2.6.0 or later to mitigate this risk.
