What is CVE-2026-92589?

Craft CMS versions 5.0.0 through 5.10.12 are susceptible to a broken access control vulnerability that allows an authenticated control panel user with limited permissions to manipulate the order of nested elements. When a user with only view permissions accesses another author's entry in read-only mode, the system erroneously grants access to modify nested elements without appropriately verifying the user's permission to make changes. This flaw enables unauthorized users to alter the sorting of Matrix blocks or Address fields belonging to different authors, potentially compromising the integrity of user-generated content.
