What is CVE-2026-92796?

Manticore Search versions from 27.0.0 up to 28.4.3 exhibit a significant security flaw that fails to validate permissions across all statements in multi-statement SQL requests. This oversight permits read-only users to execute unauthorized queries by appending additional SELECT statements. As a result, attackers can gain access to sensitive information such as credential tables, potentially obtaining password hashes that could authenticate as administrators without needing to recover plaintext passwords.

Affected Version(s)

Manticore Search 27.0.0 < 28.4.4

Exploit Proof of Concept (PoC)

PoC code is written by security researchers to demonstrate the vulnerability can be exploited. PoC code is also a key component for weaponization which could lead to ransomware.
