What is CVE-2026-92857?

Keycloak’s Dynamic Client Registration feature presents a security concern due to a flaw in the validation of registration requests. This vulnerability allows attackers possessing certain tokens to register malicious applications. By manipulating their user profile data and associating it with sensitive fields such as the user ID (sub) or intended audience (aud), attackers can forge signed security tokens. This impersonation capability could enable unauthorized access to services that depend on these tokens for verifying user identity, putting sensitive information and system integrity at significant risk.
