Local Network Vulnerability in dnsmasq Affecting DHCP Lease Queries
CVE-2026-93010
4.3MEDIUM
What is CVE-2026-93010?
A flaw in dnsmasq allows unauthorized access to DHCP lease records when the DHCP leasequery feature is enabled without proper source address restrictions. This oversight permits local network hosts to retrieve sensitive DHCP lease metadata, including assigned IP addresses, MAC addresses, and hostnames. The feature remains disabled by default and requires deliberate activation by administrators, which underscores the importance of maintaining secure configurations in network services.
