What is CVE-2026-93017?

The OpenShift Insights Operator contains a vulnerability where the insights-operator-gather ClusterRole permits the operator's service account to read secrets from the core API group without restrictions on namespace or resource names. This flaw allows an attacker, by spinning up a pod with the gather service account, to gain access to any secret across all namespaces, thus posing a risk for sensitive data exposure within the cluster.
