What is CVE-2026-93248?

This vulnerability in the Linux kernel relates to the handling of graphics submissions through the Intel driver. When a device is wedged in mode 2 (UPON_ANY_HANG_NO_RESET) and a rebind occurs, there is a potential for a GSC proxy kernel submission to timeout. This occurs because the device is already wedged, leading to a failed kernel job submission. The resulting timeout can generate warnings in the kernel, which inaccurately indicates that an unexpected timeout has occurred. The patch aims to prevent these false warnings by properly handling already-wedged devices during timeout scenarios, enhancing stability and reliability.
