What is CVE-2026-93353?

Copyparty's SFTP front end is vulnerable to a volume restriction bypass, allowing authenticated users to create, delete, or modify files outside their permitted volume boundaries. By exploiting specific handlers (_mkdir, _rmdir, and _chattr), attackers can craft destination paths without proper access checks, enabling them to traverse symlinks beyond the designated directory. This oversight allows unauthorized file operations via SSH_FXP_SETSTAT on paths their account should not access.

Affected Version(s)

copyparty 0 <= 1.20.24

Exploit Proof of Concept (PoC)

PoC code is written by security researchers to demonstrate the vulnerability can be exploited. PoC code is also a key component for weaponization which could lead to ransomware.
