What is CVE-2026-93355?

LiteLLM is impacted by a vulnerability that permits attackers to utilize a valid JSON Web Token (JWT) from a designated identity provider to impersonate any existing user. The flaw arises from an email-based fallback lookup process in the authentication flow which bypasses verification of the email_verified claim. Malicious actors can exploit this vulnerability by presenting a token with an unverified email address corresponding to a victim’s account, thereby gaining access to the victim’s privileges, including proxy_admin rights. This compromises the integrity of user identities, enabling attackers to maintain persistent unauthorized access to sensitive administrative endpoints and potentially exposing critical API keys and user management capabilities.

Exploit Proof of Concept (PoC)

PoC code is written by security researchers to demonstrate the vulnerability can be exploited. PoC code is also a key component for weaponization which could lead to ransomware.
