What is CVE-2026-9345?

A buffer overflow vulnerability has been identified in the Edimax EW-7438RPn device firmware versions up to 1.31. This flaw resides in the formWizSurvey function of the /goform/formWizSurvey component, where improper handling of user-supplied arguments (such as ssid, manualssid, ip, mask, and gateway) may lead to remote exploitation. The vulnerability allows an attacker to execute arbitrary code on the affected device, posing significant security risks. The issue has been made publicly known, and the vendor was notified but has not provided any response regarding a fix.
