What is CVE-2026-93542?

An out-of-bounds read vulnerability exists in the libXi library that can be exploited by malicious servers. This issue occurs during the parsing of the XI2 class through the size_classes() and copy_classes() functions in versions prior to 1.8.4. Exploitation may allow an attacker to cause crashes in the X client, potentially disrupting services and affecting user experience.
