What is CVE-2026-93964?

A vulnerability in NginxProxyManager versions up to 2.15.1 compromises the internalCertificate.validate function within backend/internal/certificate.js. This flaw allows for remote exploitation, as it enables unauthenticated attackers to process and echo submitted certificates without proper authentication checks. Although no stored data is leaked, the risk lies in the potential misuse of OpenSSL for unauthorized certificate processing. Despite the project being alerted about this issue through an early report, no response has been documented to date.
