SAML Adapter Vulnerability in Keycloak from Red Hat
CVE-2026-93998

7.4HIGH

What is CVE-2026-93998?

A vulnerability exists in the SAML adapter component of Keycloak that compromises the security of applications utilizing SAML-based authentication. The flaw arises from the adapter's failure to verify that the issuer of a signed SAML assertion corresponds to the expected identity provider for the application. In scenarios where multiple identity providers share a trusted signing key, an attacker in control of one such provider could craft a validly signed assertion, enabling unauthorized access. This can lead to potential administrative control over the application, raising significant security concerns.
