What is CVE-2026-9625?

A security vulnerability has been identified in RSLinx® Classic that could lead to a denial-of-service condition. This issue arises when an attacker sends a specially crafted CIP packet containing an oversized embedded message request, which can cause the RSLinx® Classic service to crash. As a result, the service must be manually restarted to regain functionality, potentially disrupting operations and affecting system availability.
