What is CVE-2026-97226?

A path traversal vulnerability has been identified in DbGate's file controller, specifically affecting versions up to 7.2.5 and 7.3.1-premium-beta.1. This vulnerability arises from improper handling of the filePath/uri argument in the fs.readFile function within the packages/api/src/controllers/files.js file of the files-style Endpoint, allowing attackers to manipulate file paths to access sensitive files outside the intended directory. This issue can be exploited remotely, potentially exposing critical data and compromising application integrity. Despite early notification to the vendor regarding this issue, no response has been received.
