What is CVE-2026-97469?

The PostgreSQL Anonymizer by Dalibo is impacted by a vulnerability that allows unprivileged masked users to invoke the anon.hash() function multiple times. This leads to the collection of (seed, hash_output) pairs, enabling potential offline brute-force attacks aimed at deducing the salt used in the anonymization process. Additionally, a masked role can improperly execute a RESTRICTED function within a sub-select context. Users are encouraged to upgrade to PostgreSQL Anonymizer version 3.2.3 or later to mitigate this issue.
