What is CVE-2026-97847?

A critical flaw exists in Keycloak's protocol mapper and identity resolution features, particularly affecting service-account tokens that do not include session IDs. This vulnerability allows an attacker with limited client management rights to exploit hardcoded-claim mappers, enabling them to manipulate identity claims. Consequently, there is a risk that these attackers may gain the ability to impersonate realm administrators, which could result in unauthorized access and complete control over the affected realm.
