What is CVE-2026-98335?

A vulnerability exists in the Linux kernel's handling of channel switching when exiting a mesh network. The issue arises in the ieee80211_stop_mesh() function, where the code fails to properly abort an ongoing channel switch (CSA) operation upon leaving the mesh context. This can lead to a general protection fault, crashing the system due to dereferencing a null pointer within the network stack, exposing potential weaknesses in network stability and reliability.
