What is CVE-2026-98410?

In the Linux kernel, an issue has been identified in the da9063 watchdog where improper handling during system suspend can lead to unintended behavior. Specifically, the da9063_wdt_suspend and da9063_wdt_resume functions do not adequately manage the state of the watchdog when userspace interactions are absent. If the device remains active without being properly initialized by userspace, the watchdog can continue its countdown during suspend periods, potentially triggering an unexpected system reset. To resolve this issue, developers should enhance state checks for WDOG_HW_RUNNING to ensure proper functionality and prevent premature resets.
