Vulnerability in Linux Kernel Affecting ath9k_htc Wireless Drivers
CVE-2026-98827
Currently unrated
What is CVE-2026-98827?
A memory overflow vulnerability exists in the Linux kernel's ath9k_htc wireless drivers, where the transmission aggregation process does not properly limit the total byte length of frames being submitted. In specific scenarios involving large frames, this flaw can lead to exceeding the maximum buffer size, resulting in memory corruption due to writing past allocated memory. This issue not only compromises system stability but may also lead to unintended data loss as previously dequeued frames are silently discarded without processing.
