What is CVE-2002-2371?

The Linksys WET11 firmware versions 1.31 and 1.32 are susceptible to a denial of service attack. Attackers can exploit this vulnerability by sending a specially crafted packet containing the device's own hardware address as the source MAC address within the DLC header. This action causes the device to crash, leading to a temporary disruption of service. Network administrators should prioritize updating to secure versions of the firmware to mitigate this risk.
