What is CVE-2014-8739?

The jQuery File Upload Plugin version 6.4.4 and earlier exhibits an unrestricted file upload vulnerability in its server/php/UploadHandler.php file. This flaw permits remote attackers to upload PHP files by exploiting the plugin in the Creative Solutions Creative Contact Form (previously known as Sexy Contact Form) and related applications, leading to potential arbitrary code execution upon direct access to the uploaded file. Exploited in the wild as of October 2014, it poses significant risks to both WordPress and Joomla! platforms.
