What is CVE-2014-9014?

The WP Marketplace plugin for WordPress contains a directory traversal vulnerability that affects versions prior to 2.4.1. This flaw exists in the ajaxinit function located in wpmarketplace/libs/cart.php, allowing remote authenticated users to exploit the vulnerability to download arbitrary files. By manipulating the file parameter with a traversal sequence, an attacker can gain unauthorized access to sensitive files on the server, posing significant security risks.
