What is CVE-2015-20124?

The Aspose Importer & Exporter plugin for WordPress, prior to version 3.0, is susceptible to a path traversal vulnerability. This issue arises from the overly permissive handling of the 'file' parameter, allowing unauthenticated attackers to craft GET requests to aspose_import_export_download.php with directory traversal sequences. By exploiting this flaw, attackers can potentially download sensitive files, such as database configuration details from wp-config.php, exposing critical information. This vulnerability was first detected by the Shadowserver Foundation on October 20, 2023.

Affected Version(s)

Aspose Importer & Exporter 1.0 < 3.0

Exploit Proof of Concept (PoC)
