What is CVE-2015-5469?

The MDC YouTube Downloader plugin version 2.1.0 for WordPress is vulnerable to an absolute path traversal flaw. This vulnerability enables remote attackers to exploit the includes/download.php script, allowing them to read arbitrary files on the server by manipulating the file parameter with a full pathname. If successfully exploited, this could lead to unauthorized access to sensitive data and pose significant risks to both the website and its users.
