What is CVE-2016-6601?

A directory traversal vulnerability exists in the file download functionality of ZOHO WebNMS Framework 5.2 and 5.2 SP1. This flaw allows remote attackers to exploit the fileName parameter by using '..' (dot dot) sequences to traverse the directory structure and access sensitive files on the server. Successful exploitation can lead to unauthorized reading of arbitrary files, potentially exposing confidential information and compromising the integrity of the system.
