What is CVE-2018-11802?
A significant vulnerability in Apache Solr allows an attacker to bypass authorization when a request is made for a collection that is not hosted by the node receiving the request. The vulnerable versions, prior to 7.7, utilize the default RuleBasedAuthorizationPlugin, which fails to enforce authorization correctly. This flaw can enable unauthorized access to sensitive collections, thereby posing a serious risk to data security.
