What is CVE-2018-19043?
The Media File Manager plugin version 1.4.2 for WordPress introduces a vulnerability that enables users to exploit a directory traversal flaw. This occurs when attackers can manipulate the 'dir' parameter during a file renaming action using the mrelocator_rename function. By specifying malicious 'from' and 'to' filenames, unauthorized parties may rename files arbitrarily within the system, potentially leading to further security breaches and unauthorized access to sensitive file information.
